파리 그랑팔레 이메르시프에서 열리고 있는 전시 «디코딩 코리아»에서 강이연 작가의 <유한>(2021)을 만나보실 수 있습니다.
2024 파리올림픽을 맞이하여 한국을 소개하는 ‘2024 코리아 시즌’ 일환으로 개최된 «디코딩 코리아»는 급진적인 산업화로 인해 변화한 한국 사회의 복잡성과 다면성에 중점을 두어 그 고유한 특성을 미디어 아트로서 해독합니다. 본 전시에서는 미디어 아트의 선구자 백남준을 포함한 11명의 작가가 참여, 총 18점의 작품을 조명합니다.
다중 프로젝션 및 오디오 설치 작업인 강이연의 <유한>(2021)은, 지구의 환경과 생태가 인간의 행위들로 파괴되고 있는 위기의 현상을 시현합니다. 공감각적으로 눈 앞에 펼쳐진 몰입적 환경은 이내 작품과 관람자 사이의 경계를 허물어 우리의 고착된 사고와 행위의 전환을 촉구하고 미래를 위한 긍정적 방향을 제시합니다. 전시는 8월 25일까지.
You can experience Yiyun Kang’s piece, 𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘦 (2021), at the exhibition 𝘋𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘒𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘢 at the Grand Palais Immersif in Paris. This exhibition is held in conjunction with the 2024 Paris Olympics and aims to decode Korean art through the contemporary medium of media art.
The exhibition features works by eleven artists, including PAIK Nam June, with a total of 18 pieces on display. The exhibition 𝘋𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘒𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘢 examines the complexity and multifaceted nature of Korean society transformed by rapid industrialization, breaking down the boundaries between the artworks and the exhibition space to offer visitors a new visual experience and a comprehensive understanding of Korea.
Yiyun Kang’s 𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘦 (2021) is a multi-projection and audio installation that emphasizes the urgent need for ecological awareness and action. This work highlights the ecological interconnection of all elements on Earth and illustrates how human activities disrupt the geological and ecological balance. Using dramatic spatial transitions and an immersive audiovisual experience, the piece provides insight into these disruptions. The exhibition is runs until August 25, 2024.
