강이연작가의 디지털 벽화 작업 <NO MOTHER NATURE>(2021)를 인천 파라다이스시티 아트 가든 파사드에서 만날 수 있습니다.
강이연은 영상과 사운드로 공간을 빚어내는 프로젝션 매핑 작업을 통해 다채로운 공감각적 내러티브를 전달해왔습니다. 신작 <NO MOTHER NATURE>는 ‘포용력 있는 어머니로서의 자연’라는 고착화된 이미지가 아닌 ‘끊임없이 변화하고, 불규칙하며, 다차원적인 존재’로서 인간의 이해를 넘어서는 대자연의 강력한 본성에 관해 이야기합니다. 그로써 지구가 인간으로 인해 무너져 내린 팬데믹 현 시대, 우리에게 필요한 사고의 전환이 무엇인지를 재고하게 합니다.
미디어 아트 프로그램 “INSCAPE: Voyage to Hidden Landscape”의 일환으로 제작된 본 작업은 내년 2월 5일까지, 매주 토요일 오후 6시에서 10시 사이 80미터 규모의 대형 파사드에 허먼 콜겐의 작품과 함께 교차 상영됩니다.
We are pleased to announce that Yiyun Kang’s digital mural work 𝘕𝘖 𝘔𝘖𝘛𝘏𝘌𝘙 𝘕𝘈𝘛𝘜𝘙𝘌 (2021) is currently on display at the Incheon Paradise City media facade.
Kang has delivered various synesthetic narratives through projection mapping with moving images and sound. Her new work 𝘕𝘖 𝘔𝘖𝘛𝘏𝘌𝘙 𝘕𝘈𝘛𝘜𝘙𝘌 focuses on the mother nature’s strong and true characteristic that ‘continuously change, is irregular and multidimensional figure,’ rather than expressing image of 'nature as an inclusive mother'. This makes us reconsider our thoughts in this current era of Pandemic, when earth has collapsed due to humans.
Produced as part of the media art program 𝘐𝘕𝘚𝘊𝘈𝘗𝘌: 𝘝𝘰𝘺𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘏𝘪𝘥𝘥𝘦𝘯 𝘓𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘦, the work will be on screen from 6pm to 10pm on every Saturday, until 5, February. 2022. It will be screened together with Herman Kolgen's work on a large screen that is 80m in width.
