서울시립미술아카이브의 상설 프로젝트인 ‘SeMA-프로젝트 A’는 기관의 옥상정원과 유휴공간을 전시 플랫폼으로 확장하여, 매년 신작 커미션을 통해 공간을 새롭게 해석하는 프로그램입니다. 2025년 프로젝트는 ‘행동’과 ‘행성’을 주제로 사회적 불안과 기후 위기에 대한 예술적 응답을 탐구합니다. 모음동 3층 옥상정원에 놓인 이원우의 신작 〈Dancing Star(별별하늘)〉은 이러한 주제 속에서 불확실한 시대를 살아가는 세대의 불안을 위트 있는 제스처로 풀어냅니다. 이 작품은 종이를 자르거나 접어서 노는 아이들의 색종이 놀이에서 영감을 받아 제작된 연작 중 하나입니다. 색종이를 자르고 접은 듯한 세 개의 별이 등을 맞대고 춤추는 형태는 경쾌한 리듬감과 낙관의 제스처를 통해 일상 속 희망의 감각을 환기합니다. 전시는 12월 31일까지.

SeMA-Project A transforms the rooftop gardens and overlooked corners of the Seoul Museum of Art Archives into open-air stages for new imagination. Each year, the program invites artists to reinterpret the space through newly commissioned works. The 2025 edition, guided by the themes Action and Planet, reflects on the fragility of our world and the quiet resilience within it. On the third-floor rooftop, Wonwoo Lee’s 𝘋𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘳 unfolds as a playful gesture toward uncertainty—a trio of folded stars caught mid-spin, light as paper yet full of life. Drawn from childhood memories of cutting and folding colors, the work turns unease into motion, inviting viewers to look up and, perhaps, to dance along.
