세계적인 작가, 올라퍼 엘리아슨의 <우주 먼지입자>를 서울시립 북서울미술관의 《빛: 영국 테이트미술관 특별전》에서 만나볼 수 있습니다.
서울시립미술관과 영국 테이트미술관이 공동 기획한 《빛: 영국 테이트미술관 특별전》은 과학과 예술의 결합으로 탄생한 근현대 미술 작품 110점을 집대성한 전시입니다. 엘리아슨이 테이트미술관장을 역임한 니콜라스 세로타 경을 기리며 테이트에 기증한 작품 <우주 먼지입자>는 부분적인 반사가 이루어지는 유리로 제작된 구형 다면체 작업으로, 천체가 폭발한 후 잔해로 남은 우주 먼지입자를 전시 공간에 큰 스케일로 확장해놓은 듯한 효과를 선사합니다. 전시는 5월 8일까지.
We are pleased to announce that the world-renowned artist Olafur Eliasson's Stardust particle from the Light: Works from the Tate Collection is on view at the Buk-Seoul Museum of Art.
Co-organized by the Seoul Museum of Art and the British Tate Museum of Art, the Tate Collection Exhibition features 110 modern and contemporary artworks created by a combination of science and art. Stardust particle, which was donated by Eliasson to Tate in honor of Sir Nicholas Serota, who served as the director of the Tate Museum of Art, is a spherical polyhedron work made of glass with partial reflection. Light: Works from the Tate Collection runs through May 8th.
