강원도 원주 뮤지엄 산에서 진행 중인 《모든 것은 변한다》에서 코디 최 작가의 작품을 만나볼 수 있습니다. 본 전시는 회화, 조각, 판화 등 뮤지엄 산의 다양한 컬렉션을 ‘모든 것은 변한다’는 주제아래 조명하는 자리로 변화, 순환, 생성과 소멸의 의미를 아우르며 청조갤러리 전관을 구성합니다.
‘변하는 것과 변하지 않는 것’ 이라는 첫 번째 전시장의 라운지 한 가운데 자리 잡은 코디 최 작가의 <The Thinker>는 시간과 계절, 물질과 공간의 끊임없는 변화 속 역설적으로 변하지 않는 존재의 영원성에 대한 탐구와 기록을 담아냅니다. ‘모든 것은 변한다’라는 주제를 통해 작품은 변화 속에서도 발견할 수 있는 순간의 의미를 환기시키며, 변모하는 세상 속에서 자신을 돌아보는 특별한 계기를 제공합니다. 전시는 2025년 6월 1일까지.
Cody Choi’s work is currently on view in All Things Change, an exhibition at Museum SAN in Wonju, Gangwon Province. This exhibition highlights a selection of paintings, sculptures, and prints from Museum SAN’s collection, unified under the theme All Things Change. Spanning the entire Cheongjo Gallery, the show explores the cyclical nature of transformation, creation, and dissolution.
At the center of the lounge in the first gallery, titled ‘Changing and Unchanging,’ stands Cody Choi’s The Thinker. The piece embodies the paradox of permanence amidst the constant flux of time, seasons, matter, and space, offering a meditation on the eternal essence of existence. Through the theme All Things Change, Choi’s work resonates with the idea of finding meaning in fleeting moments, offering viewers a contemplative space to reflect on their place in a world in constant motion. The exhibition runs through June 1, 2025.
