포항시립미술관 소장품 기획전 «기억윤슬»에서 조덕현 작가의 ‹영희와 철수›(2009)를 만나볼 수 있습니다. 전시는 빛에 스치듯 번지는 윤슬 같은 과거 기억과 경험의 흔적들을 오늘날 미술 매체로 다시 탄생시킨 작업들에 주목합니다. 조덕현의 ‹영희와 철수›는 2000년대 강원도 주문진의 한 사진관에서 발견한 필름을 바탕으로, 어린이의 포즈와 표정을 세밀한 연필·콩테 드로잉으로 재해석한 작업입니다. 빠른 산업화를 겪을 세대로 성장하게 될아이들의 내면 세계를 조용한 시선으로 드러냅니다. 전시는 내년 1월 4일까지.

𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘩𝘦𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘊𝘩𝘶𝘭𝘴𝘰𝘰(2009) by artist Cho Duk-hyun are currently on view at the collection exhibition, 𝘚𝘩𝘪𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴, at the Pohang Museum of Steel Art. The exhibition focuses on artworks that evoke traces of past memories and experiences–flicking like yunseul, the shimmering light on water.
Cho’s featured work, 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘩𝘦𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘊𝘩𝘶𝘭𝘴𝘰𝘰 is based on film negative discovered at a photo studio in Jumunjin, Gangwon-do, in the 2000s. Through meticulous pencil and conte drawings, the artist reinterprets the poses and facial expressions of these children, offering a quite gaze into the inner worlds of a generation destined to grow up amidst rapid industrialization.
The exhibition runs until Jan 4th of next year at the Pohang Museum of Steel Art.
